Love letters in the early days

Love letters written in the early days
One way to express love emotionally is to use words. There is tremendous power in words of affirmation if done to lift up another person’s spirit. Late in the early 1940’s young people used letters during courtship a great deal compared to present day. Youths wrote love letters to express their love to their newfound sweetheart.
"The old-fashioned love letter appears to have had its day. Maybe these letters have changed into digital records in the form of text messaging. According to the Telegraph, less than one in five received a love letter from an admirer. And only 28% have received a letter from a lover in the past five years, according to Bradford & Bingley.
More than a third of those aged between 16 and 34 have never written a letter to their sweetheart, compared to just 14% for the over-55s, the survey conducted by GfK NOP found. I wonder whether the survey took time to find out what the youths are texting on their mobile phone.
Police in Japan have successfully used love letters to actually reduce criminal offenses committed by delinquent teenagers. They sent out over 100 letters written by female police officers to boys and girls arrested for criminal offenses or held in police custody. In the process of exchanging letters with the teenagers, the section has received letters from some of the boys. One of the boys commented "I'm so happy when I read the letters, I feel close to tears."
Going through an attic I found these letters and want to share them with you. Maybe you can borrow a few lines and plan your strategy. Don’t forget all you want is to get your lover to say yes. Small yes could lead to your big moment. The goal is to get her a designer platinum engagement ring and a lifetime commitment.

L Look- I have looked all through the universe I have never seen any beautiful woman as you.
O Observe-For a long time I have been observing your personality, your conversation, your movement etc. and I find no fault in you.
V Venture-I now venture to write you this letter asking you to be my lover.
E Embrace-And now I want to embrace you all by myself till death do us part.

Dearest honey pie Joyce,
Your magnificent beauty caught my attention. I kept on soliloquizing all night saying, I’ve seen the most beautiful girl in the world, the most charming and respectable, the most intelligent and kind hearted girl I have ever seen; in fact your impeccable speech urged me to say to you I love you Joyce. Will you be my lover?
Me-think I hear you say “James yes I love you too. I will be your lover”, having heard that I have no doubt that my request will be granted. Joyce, please reply to me as soon as you possibly can. Millions of kisses and tons of love.
Yours truly,
James lucky
Maybe teenagers can text their feelings of love: <3 meaning heart; or ‘ily’ meaning I love you. So you see, all is not lost for love letters. Now, we use high tech to express our feelings. Who have you text recently and did you send a love message?
